The technology group Wärtsilä and CCCC Dredging Group have signed a three year extension to an existing spare parts supply agreement. The signing took place in November at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. The two companies have shared a long lasting relationship and this agreement extension further strengthens these ties.

“We have worked closely with CCCC for more than 30 years, and there is a strong element of trust between our two companies. We are delighted to continue this relationship with the signing of this latest agreement,” said Östen Lindell, Regional Sales Director for East Asia and China at Wärtsilä Marine Power. “By ensuring a secure supply of spare parts, the agreement supports maximised uptime and continuous operations for the CCCC fleet. It also allows our planning to be optimised for the best possible customer support.”

Wärtsilä has supplied propulsion solutions for various CCCC ships. These include the ‘Tiankun’, the largest and most advanced cutter-suction dredger in Asia, as well as the first LNG-powered suction hopper dredger to be ordered. The two companies have had a strategic cooperation agreement in place since 2014.
